When you type an amount into a transfer form, you are making a decision. If the fee appears only on the confirmation screen — or worse, on the statement — you made that decision without the information that mattered.
On the Humbg transfer screen, the fee, the total debit and the resulting balance are calculated as you type. They are all present before you can press the button.
This is not generosity. It is a constraint we put on ourselves: any screen that moves money must state its cost first. If we cannot calculate it, we do not ship the screen.
The side effect is that support conversations about fees largely stopped happening, because there was nothing to be surprised by.
